Design Notes

The RBS (BBa_B0034) was chosen because it has a high translation initiation rate and is compatible with most bacterial hosts. There are SacI and SalI restriction sites at the end of the ATF1 gene, which can be used for downstream manipulation of the part.

This part is derived from the genomic sequence of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a gram-positive eukaryotic yeast that is widely used in baking and brewing.
